01 - In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk and heavy cream. Heat until steaming but not boiling.

03 - Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the peppermint and vanilla extracts.
04 - Pour the hot cocoa into mugs. Optionally, top with whipped cream, crushed peppermint candies, and chocolate shavings.
