Peanut Butter Energy Balls (Printable)

Quick no-bake bites packed with peanut butter, oats, and dark chocolate chips for lasting energy.

# What You'll Need:

→ Base

01 - 1 cup creamy peanut butter
02 - 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
03 - 1/3 cup honey or pure maple syrup
04 - 1/2 cup mini dark chocolate chips

→ Optional Add-Ins

05 - 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
06 - 2 tablespoons chia seeds
07 - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
08 - 1/3 cup unsweetened shredded coconut

# Directions:

01 - In a large mixing bowl, combine creamy peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, and rolled oats. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated and a sticky dough forms.
02 - Fold in mini dark chocolate chips and any optional ingredients such as ground flaxseed, chia seeds, cinnamon, or shredded coconut. The mixture should be thick and slightly tacky to the touch.
03 - Using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop, portion out approximately 1 tablespoon of dough per ball. Roll each portion between your palms to form smooth, round spheres about 1 inch in diameter.
04 - Place formed balls on a baking tray or plate lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving or storing.
05 - Transfer energy balls to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 1 week. These can also be frozen for longer storage.

# Cooking Tips:

01 -
  • No baking required just mix and roll
  • Customizable with whatever you have in your pantry
  • They actually satisfy that afternoon sweet tooth without the crash
02 -
  • The dough consistency should be thick but still slightly sticky or they will fall apart
  • Letting them chill is not optional, it is what transforms them from sticky dough into grabable snacks
03 -
  • Warm the peanut butter slightly in the microwave if it is too stiff to mix easily
  • Toast the oats and coconut beforehand for a deeper, more complex flavor
